SUSAN BRISCO

Science regularly underpins my artistic practice. My lines of enquiry are approached with an innate scientific curiosity and my art outcomes and processes sit at the boundary between art and science to embrace interplays between drawing, film and sound. The natural world serves as inspiration for my ideas in particular the microscopic and macroscopic landscapes that normally exist as unseen worlds.  I am very much attracted to that which is real, which has integrity of subject matter, where observations are made over time or observations made at extreme ends of the visible spectrum.
